5% Dextrose and 0.45% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP, 1000 mL single-dose flexible container from ICU Medical (catalog material 792609, NDC 0990-7926-09). Each 100 mL contains dextrose, hydrous 5 g and sodium chloride 450 mg in water for injection; the solution is sterile, nonpyrogenic and hypertonic with a calculated osmolarity of 406 mOsmol/L and 170 kcal/L. This dextrose and sodium chloride injection is indicated for parenteral replenishment of fluid, minimal carbohydrate calories and sodium chloride as required by the clinical condition of the patient. Supplied in a PVC/DEHP flexible container with an overwrap, 12 per case.
