Excel calcium chloride pellets from Scotwood Industries are 94 to 97% pure calcium chloride, a premium ice melter that starts working on contact and generates its own melting heat. The pellets penetrate frozen surfaces to undercut ice and leave no powdery residue. Because it melts more per pound, application rates are lower than with rock salt or blends. Sold as a pallet of 50 bags at 50 lb each.
