The Healgen Rapid Strep A Antigen Test (GCSTR-501Ca) detects Streptococcus pyogenes (Group A beta-hemolytic Streptococcus) antigen directly from throat swabs of symptomatic patients, as an aid in diagnosing Group A strep infection. The test strip gives results in 5 minutes.
This catalog number is the FDA 510(k) cleared, CLIA-waived kit with external positive and negative controls included. Compared to culture, Healgen reports 97.1% positive and 99.4% negative percent agreement. Rx only.
