3M DuraPrep Surgical Solution is a patient preoperative skin preparation designed with iodine povacrylex for persistence that dries to a water insoluble film, creating a durable layer of protection. It combines alcohol for rapid kill and fast drying with iodine povacrylex, which forms a water insoluble film for long lasting protection, and it significantly reduces microorganisms on intact skin prior to surgery. Catalog 8635 is the 6 mL single-use applicator for head, neck and small prep areas, packed 50 per case.

Features

• Kills major pathogens in 15 seconds (in vitro) and continues to suppress bacterial regrowth for at least 48 hours
• Dries to a water insoluble film that resists wash off by irrigating fluids, blood and saline during surgery
• Water insoluble film acts as a primer that helps an antimicrobial incise drape adhere to the skin, protecting against dr
