The Healgen Rapid Check RSV Antigen Test Cassette (GCRSV-502b-PBS) detects respiratory syncytial virus antigen (viral fusion protein) for a rapid qualitative result. It is validated for nasal or nasopharyngeal swab and nasal or nasopharyngeal aspirate specimens from children under 6 and adults over 60, with results in 15 minutes.
The kit is FDA 510(k) cleared, CLIA waived and includes quality controls. Against tissue culture, EIA and direct fluorescent antibody methods, Healgen reports 93.9% positive and 97.7% negative percent agreement. Rx only.
